- Choosing a forest: Choose a forest where you feel comfortable.
- Slowing down: Allow yourself enough time for forest bathing. Optimize your walking pace by strolling slowly through the forest.
- Pause: Take breaks and consciously pause. Try to sense the forest, to become a part of it. Look within: What does the forest trigger in you?
- Open your senses: Perceive the forest with all your senses. Be curious and playful. What do you smell and hear? What colors and shapes do you see? How and where do you feel the breeze?
- Experience instead of thinking: Let the forest work on you and treat yourself to a break!
- Mindfulness: Be in touch with the forest and with yourself. If you notice your thoughts wandering, gently bring them back.
- Silence, meditation, and breathing exercises: Enjoy the silence. Meditation enhances the calming effect of the forest. Breathe deeply. Forest air is medicine to breathe in!

The forest is the source of health.Treat yourself to a break in the Steinwald Nature Park and immerse yourself in the forest atmosphere!Forest air is the best medicine for body, mind and soul.
What is forest bathing?
Feel the soft moss on your skin, listen to the birdsong, close your eyes and experience the forest with all your senses. "Forest bathing" (Japanese: Shinrin-yoku) focuses on mindfulness, relaxation and meditation. Nature is the best teacher. Those who regularly immerse themselves in the calming atmosphere of the forest benefit from its healing powers. Switching off in nature is all the more important in today's world of constant technology and fast-paced living. Therefore, we recommend getting out into the fresh air, breathing deeply, relaxing, and recovering!
