The special experience in the countryside
We'll deliver a fully packed and chilled picnic basket to you. The great thing about it: You don't have to worry about a thing. In addition to the culinary delicacies, this service also includes drinks, dishes, cutlery, and a blanket. This makes your outing a delicious experience, because fresh air, as we all know, makes you hungry! The contents of the picnic baskets are enough to feed three people. A contribution of €50.00 per basket applies. In addition to the food and drinks, the delivery fee is already included in the price.
You can choose between a picnic at the refreshing Waldnaab or in the shady forests of the southern Stone Forest.
NEW: Since July 2024 There are two more picnic locations! In addition to the locations in Steinwald and Waldnaabtal, you can now also picnic at the Freshwater Pearl Mussel Information Center at the Grenzmühle and in the Friedenfels Nature Experience Village on Schusterberg Enjoy your picnic basket!
The picnic service is available from Monday to Saturday.

Zipfeltannenfelsen in the Steinwald Nature Park
The picnic in the woods of the Steinwald forest is delivered to the Zipfeltannenfelsen. The granite formation can be reached from Pfaben near Erbendorf via the 7 km long Circular hiking trail "Forest History Trail" The trail also leads past the Saubadfelsen and the Waldhaus. Those who wish can extend the tour towards the Oberpfalzturm or Reiseneggerfelsen as desired. Coming from the Waldhaus, the Stoapfalz-Saubad Mountain Bike Trail past the picnic area. Am Schusterberg in Friedenfels
The picnic area on Schusterberg in Friedenfels offers a magnificent panoramic view. Directly beneath a linden tree next to a war memorial chapel, you can sit and enjoy the view. Various Stations of the Cross lead to the viewing point. From the Friedenfels outdoor pool, the path to Schusterberg is easy to follow. After a short, steep climb, you reach the picnic area.

Adventure playground "An der Polier" in Windischeschenbach
The pick-up point is located directly on the Waldnaab River at the barrier-free adventure playground "An der Polier" in Windischeschenbach. Within a few minutes' walk, the Goldsteig long-distance hiking trail It follows the same route as the Castle Trail through the Upper Palatinate Forest. The Goldsteig Trail takes hikers either south to Neuhaus or north, across the Waldnaabtal nature reserve, to the stopover site of Falkenberg.

Picknick am Schlossberg
At the Schlossberg in Waldeck
The pick-up point is located directly at the parking lot at Schlossberg in Waldeck. The picnic basket can be enjoyed either at the foot of the hill or at the top near the castle ruins. A few minutes' walk leads up to the basalt cone, one of the oldest castles in Upper Palatinate. The climb is rewarded with a stunning panoramic view.
