FANTASTIC CARP TRAIL

The Fantastic Carp Trail in Kemnath is all about fish. The 2.4-kilometer trail showcases the 1,000-year history of carp farming in the region. Colorful fish sculptures by local artists transform the trail into a cultural and historical experience.

GRINDER'S PATH

WORTH SEEING: Information Center Experienceable Glass Grinding, Waterwheel

The 1.5-kilometer-long Glass Grinders' Trail is dedicated to glass grinding and polishing. Here, you'll learn a great deal about glass grinding, forest history, and the geology of the Stone Forest. The hiking trail begins directly at the former glass grinding shop, which has housed an information center since 2011.

COUNT VON DER SCHULENBURG CIRCULAR TRAIL

WORTH SEEING: Falkenberg Castle with geotope Burgfelsen, Wackelstein, Waldnaab river course

The Graf von Schulenburg circular trail leads around Falkenberg Castle along the Waldnaab River. Here, you'll also find a rocking stone that actually wobbles! Granite from the Waldnaab River guides the way. Mighty rock formations are visible everywhere, offering magnificent views of the river and the surrounding nature from the rocks.

WIESAU FOREST LAKES NATURE TRAIL

WORTH SEEING: Wiesau Forest Lakes

A nature trail leads through the Wiesau forest lakes, passing through Perlsee, Silbersee, and other lakes. Information panels along the trail provide information about local fish species, the Land of 1,000 Ponds, and forestry work. Part of the route also includes a fitness trail where dexterity, balance, and fitness can be tested. A lovely trail for families with children.
Half of the route runs along the Goldsteig long-distance hiking trail. In summer, weather permitting, a detour to the "Kipp" forest swimming pond is also worthwhile.

WORTH SEEING: Schweinmühle adventure farm, forest classroom, viewing platform, game reserve, information pavilion

The forest adventure trail at the Schweinmühle holiday farm and campsite near Windischeschenbach is a sensory experience. Nine diverse stations adorn the 2-kilometer circular trail. It leads along the mill canal and through the forest. The trail is also accessible with strollers.
