A natural club garden with an orchard and stream. The club garden of the OGV Kemnath is located on the southern outskirts of Kemnath and offers a view of the Rauher Kulm mountain. The approximately 2,000 m² garden has been maintained by the OGV Kemnath since 2005.
The garden includes a terraced area with a covered patio, various types of dry-stone walls and paths, a wild hedge, a meadow orchard, a herb bed, a wild and berry orchard, a demonstration composting area, and gravel beds in and around the stream. Thanks to the activities of the children's and youth group "Parsley Gurus," an insect hotel, a fire pit, and a vegetable patch are on the grounds. Almost every year, something new is added through practical presentations and active youth work.
The orchard is home to rare varieties such as the Mousetail Pear, Heangbirl, Danziger Kantapfel, Geflammter Kardinal, Schneider's Knorpelkirsche, and Krüger's Dickstiel. Bee colonies provide additional life to the association's garden. The OGV grounds are designed as a natural garden and are lovingly tended by the gardeners.
