The slopes on the Ochsenkopf promise true alpine skiing pleasure. The second-highest peak (1,024 meters) in the Fichtel Mountains is just a few minutes' drive from the Tirschenreuth district.

At over 4 kilometers long, the two longest slopes in Northern Bavaria delight both beginners and advanced skiers. Two cable cars transport skiers and snowboarders from Bischofsgrün and Fleckl near Warmensteinach to the summit. The efficient snowmaking system guarantees reliable snow conditions, making the Ochsenkopf the perfect practice area. In Mehlmeisel, the 700-meter-long Klausenhang slope offers an additional option.
