Fish farming in the Tirschenreuth district looks back on a tradition spanning almost 1,000 years. The numerous ponds not only characterize the landscape of our region, but also provide a variety of flavors in local cuisine, especially during the colder months. The highlight of the carp season is the Fish Adventure Weeks. The event program for this year's 2025/26 season is now available. In addition to the grand opening event, the Fish Adventure Weeks offer a host of highlights: from tours of the farm and special menu events to a Bavarian-Austrian cooking duel, to a witching hour at the Muckenthaler Pond and fish dishes to take home, there's literally something for every taste.
