2nd edition of the illustrated book "Steinreich" about Steinwald Nature Park now available

Three years after the first publication of the illustrated book "steinreich - Naturpark Steinwald" the second edition of the book is now published by Battenberg Gietl VerlagThis is a joint project by Wolfgang Benkhardt (local editor at Oberpfalz Medien) and Dr. Siegfried Steinkohl (amateur photographer).
New chapter on the work of nature park rangers
The second edition, on 144 pages, once again presents photographs of the region's most beautiful sights, plants, and animals. Most of the images were taken by Dr. Siegfried Steinkohl from Friedenfels. These are supported by informative texts, captions, and stories about the Steinwald forest written by local reporter Wolfgang Benkhardt.
For the second edition of the illustrated book, Benkhardt and Steinkohl added a new chapter that takes a closer look at the work of our nature park rangers. Ranger Conni and Jonas are committed to preserving endangered species, such as arnica and freshwater pearl mussels, through various conservation measures. They share this knowledge with the public through guided tours and information centers.
