Anyone who wants to see the interconnected bodies of water from above should definitely not miss the climb up the Himmelsleiter (Stairway to Heaven) in the Waldnaa floodplain in Tirschenreuth. It was constructed for the 2013 State Garden Show in Tirschenreuth and is located on the Vizinalbahn cycle path. The chosen shape of the two single-flight staircases with an intermediate platform promises maximum transparency of the landscape, while also offering a panoramic experience from a height of approximately 20 meters over one of the largest and oldest pond complexes in Germany.
