The Kemnath Carp Cycle Route is set in a magnificent volcanic landscape with over 400 ponds and leads through Kötzersdorf, Beerhof, Immenreuth, Kulmain, Altensteinreuth, and Schönreuth back to Kemnath. Along the way, you'll pass some of the many colorfully painted fish sculptures dotted throughout the Tirschenreuth district.

You can cycle along a historic railway line from Wiesau via Tirschenreuth to Bärnau. The 28.5 km route leads through the Waldnaabaue nature reserve.

The Wiesau forest lakes can be experienced via the nature trail. The Tirschenreuth district is famous for its fish farming, including the Wiesau pond basin. Information panels along the trail provide information about the various fish species and forestry work. It also includes a fitness trail. Half of the trail runs along the Goldsteig long-distance hiking trail.
In summer, when the weather is good, a trip to the forest swimming pond "Kipp" is also worthwhile.
